Criminal Law

What is Criminal Law?

Criminal law covers a range of offences both State and Commonwealth. From dangerous driving to public nuisance, from murder to obstructing police, there are a wide range of matters that proceed through the criminal jurisdiction, for either State or Commonwealth offences.

All matters start in the Magistrates Court by way of first appearance, either on a notice to appear, watch house bail or in custody. With sufficient notice our lawyers can attend the watch house to take your instructions and make an application for bail.

Following your first appearance, our experienced team can take you through the processes and procedures related to criminal offences to ensure the best possible outcome through the courts.
